One student asked me in class, “Sir, if you were in our place, would you do drop shipping or build your own brand?”

I know many people have the same question.

Here is the simple truth.

Drop shipping is easy to start. If I were in your place today, I would start with drop shipping too. It helps you learn how online business works. You understand products, ads, website, and customer behavior.

But there is a big problem

In drop shipping, you control almost nothing.
You cannot control margin.
You cannot control inventory.
You cannot control quality.
You cannot control customer happiness.

You only have pictures and a website. The product is someone else’s. If the quality is bad, the customer will get angry at you, not the supplier. And because of this, repeat customers are very less.

So here is what I would do :

I would start with drop shipping to learn. And when I see something is working, I will quickly move to building my own brand. I will talk to manufacturers who can make the same type of products for me.

When I control quality, I can build a long-term business. I can dream big sales. I can build something strong.

This is why I always say:
Start with drop shipping to understand the game.
But later, build your own brand to earn real money.

That is where the real success is.
